Michael A. Montiel
Michael A. Montiel is an associate attorney primarily concentrating in the areas of corporate law, commercial real estate transactions, and estate planning. A large portion of his practice focuses on the representation of institutional lenders and borrowers in connection with the financing, acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate assets including retail shopping centers, office buildings, apartment buildings, warehouse/industrial and mixed‐use properties. Michael also provides representation in connection with a wide variety of complex commercial real estate transactions involving construction loans, property development, and leasing.
Michael also advises corporations in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, compliance, and general corporate and commercial matters. Additionally, he also has experience in general civil litigation matters.
Michael previously served as the Director of the Pro Bono Foreclosure Defense Office of the Spanish American League Against Discrimination, offering legal services to low income families. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law and his Bachelor of Science, with a major in Psychology, from the University of Florida.
