Ms. Diaz is situated perfectly between two worlds with a Juris Doctorate both from the University of Havana School of Law in Havana, Cuba and the University of Miami Law School in Coral Gables, Florida. She has already assisted several businesses to conduct business in Cuba, both by obtaining the required licenses and authorizations from the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, and also by advising them as to how to conduct business and conduct themselves while in Cuba. Ms. Diaz’s firsthand knowledge of Cuban culture, laws, institutions and people provide unique, comprehensive advice that often goes beyond legal matters.

Areas of practice include legal compliance with the U.S. Embargo and Cuban laws and regulations, U.S. Department of Commerce and OFAC license applications and enforcement investigations, for profit and nonprofit projects in Cuba.
